Packers Trade Rasul Douglas to the Buffalo Bills

Image
The Packers officially made one move at the trade deadline. Rasul Douglas who has been with the Packers since 2021 after being cut from the Cardinals, has been traded to the Buffalo Bills along with a Packers fifth-round draft. In return, the Packers are receiving the Bills third-round pick in 2024. Douglas has been a key player for Green Bay’s defense over the past few seasons. He came away with a game-sealing interception against his former team the Cardinals back in 2021 and has grown into a very dependable player on defense. The Buffalo Bills are getting a good one to assist their

Sunday Recap: Packers Drop Another One Against the Vikings

Image
We shouldn’t be surprised by what we saw on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Green Packers are just not a great football team this season. Fingers are being pointed in multiple directions as to the real issue with this team when in reality, it’s everyone’s fault.             It’s hard to watch a team who doesn’t even look like they practice during the week. The offensive unit for the Packers can barely move the football and when they do, it gets called back because of some dumb mistake that is called for a penalty.             The youth of the Packers was showcased heavily again on Sunday. It’s almost as if there are infinite mistakes in every game, from drops to other miscues like holding and running the wrong route. At this point, I think it is safe to say that this is the worst position a quarterback could be in on offense. Jordan Love isn’t perfect by any means, but the help he has gotten has been close to none from his teammates and coaches.             "But t

Packers vs Vikings Preview

Image
The Packers host the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field following the Viking’s huge win on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. What should we expect from this game?             For starters, it should be noted that the Vikings will again be without superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson who is currently on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury. This is a big break for the Packers defensively who also have injuries on their side of the ball as well. They most recently just sent Darnell Savage and Eric Stokes to the injured reserve list.                The Packers' injury report to no one’s surprise is once again loaded with key names on both sides of the ball. We shouldn’t be surprised if Campbell is

Rationality During the Week, Anything Goes on Gameday

Image
Being a football fan, mixed emotions are guaranteed on any given Sunday while watching your favorite team. This season, it has become pretty apparent with Packer fans, including myself. During the week, keeping a level head and sort of rationality when analyzing the team is pretty easy. But on Sunday, during the action? Hell, all rationality is off the table.             Why is it that we as fans act this way? It’s quite simple actually. The love a diehard fan shares for their team is almost unconditional. The ability to be rational during the week is a testament to how much they care after unloading on their favorite team following a loss.             For example, the Packers may be struggling right now and look bad. During the week, I will analyze and suspect what should reasonably happen before the game starts. But on Sunday during the game and shortly after, you have a right as a fan to rage and let out your frustration if your team stinks.             It’s simple and

The Packers Have Officially Hit Rock Bottom

Image
Whelp, the Packers have officially hit rock bottom this season after losing to the Denver Broncos.             This game was frustrating to watch for multiple reasons, and there are so many aspects to point out what really went wrong. Some may say the play calling from Matt LaFleur cost the game, or Jordan Love’s decision-making, but what about the offensive line, and the game plan going into the game? The list of reasons is ongoing, but it’s a collection of all those things that this team has struggled with so far this season.             As real Packer fans, it is time that we face reality, and the reality is, this team is not great. Yes, the expectations were not high going into this season, but as a young and growing team, these are games that you have to win to show that growth. Hand up, I thought maybe this team could be a sleeper and win more games than they were expected to.             But the Packers have not shown any progression so far this season. They

The Packers Need to Beat Denver, Bad!

Image
We’ve finally made it!  It has felt like an eternity, but the Packers finally get to play a football game this Sunday against the Denver Broncos. What should we expect?             The Packers are coming off a bye following their disgusting loss on Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders. Matt LaFleur and company have had a lot of time to sit on that loss and learn from the previous mistakes they’ve made so far this season.             But come Sunday against Denver, it is no doubt a must-win game for the Packers.             The Packers have had a long time to get healthy following the long weeks in between games and also the bye week. The return of Aaron Jones is going to impact the team enormously. Against the Raiders the running game was alive and there is no reason they shouldn’t be handing the ball off a ton to Jones and AJ Dillon against Denver. #Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur gives the injury report for Sunday’s game in Denver👇 pic.twitter.co

Where Do the Packers Stand in the NFC North?

Image
We’ve officially hit week six of the NFL season and the question remains, where do the Green Bay Packers stand in the north?             Obviously, you have to start with the Detroit Lions. They come in through six weeks at 5-1, leading the NFC North comfortably following a road win against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Lions have shown they are definitely the team to beat in the north, as Jordan Love said in his post-game presser following the fat L the Packers took against them. Jordan Love on if the Lions are the team to beat now in the NFC North: “Yeah, for sure. It was us and them going into this game.” pic.twitter.com/S7Uf77J3V8 — Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) September 29, 2023             Heading in a completely different direction than the Lions, the Chicago Bears are undoubtedly at the bottom of the north and the NFL. The Bears currently hold the number one and two picks for next season’s draft while accumulating a 1-5 record. They are also in a bit of a predicame

Is Matt LaFleur Soft?

Image
Is Matt LaFleur too soft? I’m beginning to think so after the start of this season so far.             Don’t get me wrong, LaFleur seems like a great guy and has won a lot of games as the head coach of the Packers, but so far this season the play-calling and attitude of the team have become extremely questionable. It’s tough to gauge at this point, LaFleur can really scheme up a game. He comes from that long Shanahan coaching line that has had success all over the league. But at times he looks like he’s never watched a football game before when watching some of his play-calls.             LaFleur is definitely a players' coach, but is he too much of one? The energy of the Packers to start games this season has been pretty poor, and the play-calls have been very frustrating to watch. It almost seems as if Lafleur has been more of a friend to the players than a coach this season.             Fact of fiction, you’d rather go to battle with Dan Campbell or Matt La

The Packers Offense Was a Complete No-Show Against the Raiders

Final from Vegas. #GBvsLV pic.twitter.com/j9ZlKlrOPu — Green Bay Packers (@packers) October 10, 2023             The Packers played one of the most frustrating games in recent memory against the Raiders on Monday night.             I don’t even know where to start. Obviously going into this season, we all had an idea of what we were getting with this young team. There were going to be ups and downs this season regardless of what you thought, but this has been brutal since the Bears game.             First off, the offense hasn’t had Aaron Jones at full strength which has been detrimental to their production the past few weeks. But that’s no excuse, Jordan Love needs to be more consistent with his throws. The bad throws need to stop, some of these throws are almost inexcusable when watching back the tape. Love has a lot of potential and has shown flashes, but during this bye week, Love and Lafleur need to get in sync and figure something out.             The Packers’ offense has

GameDay Preview: Packers vs Raiders

Image
There are a lot of storylines heading into Monday night football between the Packers and the Raiders. From key injuries, two brothers playing against each other, and a coach who some would say should’ve won the coaching job in Las Vegas a couple years ago.             All these stories make for an interesting game between the Packers and the Raiders. To start off the preview, let’s dive into the injury report heading into MNF. Final Packers injury report for #GBVSLVR . Of note for the Raiders, Davante Adams practiced today and is listed as Questionable. pic.twitter.com/L9F9PIUx1u — Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) October 7, 2023                         The Packers have a huge boost coming their way with the full return of two high-caliber players, Rashan Gary and Elgton Jenkins. Gary was not listed on the injury report after two weeks and should be fully cleared for this game, while Jenkins was limited all week but does not have an injury designation. John

Rashan Gary is Going to be Unleashed Against the Raiders

Image
The Packers are only a couple of days out from their matchup against the Raiders and some important news has dropped ahead of the game.             As of yesterday’s injury report, Rashan Gary was not listed and could finally be cleared to play a full game against the Raiders on Monday night.             This would be a huge momentum boost for the Packers defense who have struggled early out the gate in stopping the run. Gary is a leader of the defense and brings energy to a unit that desperately needs it.             Through limited snaps, it’s safe to say that Gary is one of the only bright spots on the Packers’ defense besides Quay Walker. In 57 snaps, Gary has 3.5 sacks and is only one of two players who have a pass rush win rate above 33.3% next to all-pro Miles Garret who’s at 32.0%.             There is no doubt Rashan will perform well, but with more great performances, the asking price to resign him is going to rise no doubt. Premier edge-rushers in th

The Packers Have Been Gifted a Get-Right Game Against the Raiders

Image
The Packers Have Been Gifted a Get-Right Game Against the Raiders             Are the Packers in for a get-right game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night primetime? I sure hope so.             The Packers as a whole in the last three games haven’t showed much besides a few drives and the fourth quarter against the Saints. Obviously, this is a young team who has also dealt with a ton of injuries, but now is the time for the Packers to get right.             The highs have been pretty high, and the lows definitely have been low in Green Bay early this season. But through four games and a long break in between this upcoming game, the Packers have a chance to correct mistakes and finally play a full game of complimentary football.             When looking at the Raiders, they can be looked at pretty easily as a dysfunctional team. They’ve lost three straight games, and their head coach Josh McDaniels clearly doesn’t have the players interest as we can see through comments

The Injury Bug is Bad in Green Bay

Image
The Injury Bug is Bad in Green Bay                It’s early, but through four games the Packers have had multiple injuries that have hurt them early this 2023 NFL season.             For starters, the loss of David Bakhtiari to IR is a killer. Unfortunately, most Packer fans could see it coming from a mile away. His injury at the end of the 2020 season seems to be a career killer to what could have been a clear-cut hall-of-fame career.             Other offensive line injuries have hurt the Packers as well, Elgton Jenkins is expected to miss a few games with a knee injury after exiting week 2 against Atlanta. Zach Tom, who has performed well for the Packers early, is also dealing with a knee injury. These injuries are another indicator as to why the Packers have struggled to run the football early. Of course, Aaron Jones playing only one full game hurts, but these offensive line injuries need to end quickly if the Packers expect to win more games. Continuing with the offense, Christ
