Rashan Gary is Going to be Unleashed Against the Raiders

The Packers are only a couple of days out from their matchup against the Raiders and some important news has dropped ahead of the game.

As of yesterday’s injury report, Rashan Gary was not listed and could finally be cleared to play a full game against the Raiders on Monday night.

This would be a huge momentum boost for the Packers defense who have struggled early out the gate in stopping the run. Gary is a leader of the defense and brings energy to a unit that desperately needs it.

Through limited snaps, it’s safe to say that Gary is one of the only bright spots on the Packers’ defense besides Quay Walker. In 57 snaps, Gary has 3.5 sacks and is only one of two players who have a pass rush win rate above 33.3% next to all-pro Miles Garret who’s at 32.0%.

There is no doubt Rashan will perform well, but with more great performances, the asking price to resign him is going to rise no doubt. Premier edge-rushers in the NFL are not easy to come by like Gary, the Packers need to get this man paid!

Rashan Gary is a game-wrecker and this game against the Raiders is a perfect one for him to get back in the rhythm of playing a full game.

The Raiders are currently in the middle of the pack of the NFL giving up 11 sacks so far this season. In their two most recent games, elite pass rushers such as TJ Watt and Khalil Mack have caused trouble for the Raiders offense. Watt finished his game with 2 sacks while Khalil Mack had a monster game with 6 sacks.

As Packer fans, we can only hope the full return of Rashan Gary energizes this defense and motivates them to be more physical. There is too much talent on that side of the ball for them to be as bad as they have been so far this season.
