We're Really Talking Yoffs, Who Would've Thought?

Image
Seriously though, how did we get to this point? The Packers were 2-5 this season after suffering losses to the Raiders and Broncos (who might be good). It felt as if the season was lost, but after winning three of their last four, they’ve rallied themselves back into the hunt for a possible playoff spot in the NFC. I specifically said it’s illegal for Packers fans to listen to this part. You should be in jail https://t.co/wCgSw7CJux — Big Cat (@BarstoolBigCat) November 27, 2023 It’s crazy that they’ve gotten to this point. Following their week three comeback win against the Saints, the stretch that followed got ugly pretty quickly. The offense wasn’t clicking, injuries were nagging, and there was little improvement from the team all around. The turnaround came at the perfect time, and it really says a lot about the character of this team and the franchise as a whole. The Packers took a shot this season, they believe they have their guy in Jordan Love, but it was up to his

Packers Stun the Lions in Statement Win on Thanksgiving

There was definitely a little optimism going into this game, but who could’ve seen this coming? The Lions beat up the Packers back in week four and Green Bay completely flipped the script on them this time around. The Packers looked great in all facets of their game on Turkey Day, complimentary football was everywhere! Jordan Love played arguably the best game of his career today. The Lions’ secondary is definitely an issue, but Love did what he was supposed to do and diced them up all game long. Matt LaFleur finally let Jordan Love cook and it paid off heavily for the Packers. Love threw the ball in multiple tight windows, including his first touchdown pass of the game to rookie stud Jayden Reed.

Why You Should Want the Packers to Win Against the Lions

Image
Why should you want the Packers to beat the Lions this Thursday? It’s pretty simple honestly. There are two sides of the spectrum that I think football fans in general, including Packer fans, can jump on ahead of this game.             On one hand, you want the Packers to make the playoffs. The Lions are a wagon this season and will surely run away with the NFC North title.  But a win for the Packers would raise their likelihood of playing in January even more. The two toughest games they have remaining are against the Chiefs and Lions. If Green Bay can win one of those games and win out the remainder of their schedule, the chances of getting bonus Packer football will skyrocket. Plus, a win would be good for the rivalry and would be a nice little spoiler to the Lions' season. The Lions haven’t won the NFC North in a long time, so why not be the only divisional opponent loss that they may have this season? On the other hand, if you are a hater and despise the Pack

The Lambeau Leap Makes a Return in the Packers' Win Over the Chargers

Image
Football is fun, especially when your team gets a dub, and your quarterback looks sick. That was exactly the case for the Packers and Jordan Love on Sunday.             It felt like a coming-out party for this young team with guys like Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks making huge plays all game long.  To start the season Reed got a lot of hate for making mistakes that most rookies normally make. But recently, Reed has performed very well and become a key weapon for Jordan Love. The second-year guys showed out too, both Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson scored a touchdown in the game as well. The Lambeau Leap also made a return after Jayden Reed scored on a sick reverse play, boy that guy is fast. We have a @JaydenReed5 Lambeau Leap! Packers vs. Chargers Preview

In a gold-package game matchup, the Packers will be facing off against the Los Angeles Chargers in Lambeau Field while wearing their classic 1950s uniforms. The @packers will be wearing their 50s throwback uniforms this Sunday vs. the Chargers 🔥 📺: FOX pic.twitter.com/YCSd0nrtXl — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) November 15, 2023             The Packers are facing a lot of adversity yet again heading into this game. The explosive Chargers offense of Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and Austin Ekeler poses a big threat to the Packers’ defense which is still battling injuries.             As of Friday, the Packers added a new name to the injury report that you absolutely do not want to see. Rashan Gary reportedly had “a little mishap” during Friday’s practice session and is now listed as questionable for Sunday with a shoulder injury. Alongside Gary, Jaire Alexander and Quay Walker are also listed as questionable. The Packers will most likely be without Rudy Ford again on Sunda

What Happened to the Lambeau Leap?

Image
It’s already week eleven and the Green Bay Packers have not conducted a single Lambeau Leap this season. This is extremely concerning, the Lambeau Leap is a part of Packer tradition after a touchdown, and not one single Packer has attempted to jump into the stands this year.             Now I know what all of you are thinking, oh the Packers should be worried about scoring on offense instead of celebrating after the fact. Well, here’s the deal buddy, you just don’t understand. The Lambeau Leap is a staple and even though it hasn’t happened as much as we would like it to in recent seasons, the Packers have never gone until week eleven to conduct the iconic jump.             It does make some sense in certain areas that Packer players haven’t elected to do the Lambeau Leap this season. Reason one is the offensive production, but reason number two is probably the biggest considering how young the offensive unit is. Hate Aaron Rodgers all you want, but as a veteran and a le

The Packers are Secretly Tanking

Image
Whelp nothing new here folks, the Packers dropped another winnable game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.            The Packers got run all over by the Steelers’ running back duo of Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris. Joe Barry called yet another brutal game, running two high safeties and only two down linemen, basically guaranteeing 3-4 yards every play. He can’t keep getting away with this right? The Packers have to be secretly tanking if they are allowing this guy to keep calling plays for them on the defensive side of the ball.             It’s frustrating no doubt, but the offensive side of the ball finally showed some progress. Jordan Love made a lot of great throws and almost broke the 300-yard mark for the first time in his career. The Packers needed Love to perform, running the ball just wasn’t working and he was able to move the rock with his arm for a good portion of the game. This game marked a step in the right direction for Love. Although the game ended wit

Where Do the Packers Stand in the NFC North at the Halfway Point?

Image
We’ve officially hit the halfway mark this NFL season and the Packers sit at 3-5. Where do they stand in the north?             First off, you have to start with the Detroit Lions who currently hold the best record in the division at 6-2. The Lions are coming off a much-needed bye week considering how many injuries their team has dealt with this season. The remainder of their schedule looks friendly and the only tough games it appears they have left are against the Chargers, Cowboys, and Saints.             The Packers struggled against Detroit in their first contest on Thursday Night Football a few weeks ago. The team was dealing with multiple injuries and came out extremely flat. A big piece they were missing was Aaron Jones who as we saw after Sunday is the most important part of offense. The Packers match up with the Lions again on Thanksgiving in the hostile environment of Ford Field. If the Packers can win that game, it would be a nice little spoiler to the Lion&#

Packers Snap Their Losing Streak with a Win Against the Rams

Image
In ugly fashion, the Packers finally snapped their four-game losing streak against the Rams on Sunday. The game wasn’t pretty by any means, but holding a team to three points in the National Football League is still pretty impressive. Although Matthew Stafford was out of this game, it was great to see the defense capitalize on a weak Rams offense.             The defense was the story of this game and the secondary needs to be talked about. Without Rudy Ford and the loss of Rasul Douglas, multiple guys stepped up in their absence. Carrington Valentine stepped in as the number two cornerback and made the most of his opportunity. Johnathan Owens and Anthony Johnson each made huge plays, both had a play that resulted in a turnover. It was also great to see Jaire Alexander finally back to making the huge impact on the game that he is used to making.             The offensive side of the ball is still a work in progress but, the Packers did snap their streak of not scoring

Packers vs. Rams Sunday Preview

Image
The Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams face off in a game Sunday that features two teams that pretty much stink. The Packers are on a four-game losing streak while the Rams have lost two in a row. Both teams are also dealing with injuries this Sunday, the Rams especially have a big concern on their report. Final LAR-GB injury report: pic.twitter.com/cTsMcBOYXQ — Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) November 3, 2023             The most impactful injury this Sunday comes from the Rams who have quarterback Matthew Stafford listed as questionable after suffering a thumb injury on his throwing hand last week. Although Stafford is not expected to play, don’t be surprised if he is on the field Sunday. Stafford is a very tough player and is going to do whatever he can to get on the playing field.             For the Packers, Quay Walker and Rudy Ford are both listed as questionable after not practicing on Friday. Aaron Jones practiced all week while wearing the red “no contact
