Instead of Saying the Packers Sucked, Let’s Be Grateful They Got Humbled Early in the Season

As Micah Parsons put it plainly in his postgame press conference, “Sometimes… you just shit the bed.” That is exactly what happened to the Packers in today’s loss against the Browns.

Credit to the Browns who could’ve came into this game and just rolled over. They didn’t. Instead, they showed they have one of the top defenses in the NFL and capitalized on a Packers’ offense that never could get it going. They got the job done regardless of how many injuries the Packers offensive line had. They had Jordan Love in a blender all game long and he never was comfortable.

This is probably one of the worst regular season losses I have ever seen from the Packers during the Matt LaFleur era. The playoff losses obviously hold more significance, but this was just all-around bad football by the offense. The penalties, missed assignments, and bad reads prevented them from moving the football at all. That’s really all you can say. The offense was horrid and gross to watch.

I don’t want to do this, but I have to. Jordan Love’s interception. It was bad and shouldn’t have happened at all. If we are going to be honest, Jordan Love is going to have a couple of this “whootsie” plays every week. So just think of it like that. If Love makes a bad throw or an interception just say, “ah whootsie!” (this is pure cope at its finest) However, if Love is going to make these mistakes, I really hope he would make his “whootsies” in the middle of the game and not in crucial moments like today.

The obvious issue today was the offensive line. The Packers missed Zach Tom a lot after he left the game following the first play. LaFleur said after the game he probably shouldn’t have played, which is just a crazy thing to say. This guy has a torn oblique, how did you let him get in this game and possibly hurt it even worse? Unreal.

Jordan Morgan sucked and so did Rasheed Walker. By the way, the Packers were never going to win this game after what Walker said to start the week. Instant jinx and you can’t tell me any differently. Here is quote below.

Defensively I must say, the Packers defense did their job and were put in a horrible spot at the end of the game. Rashan Gary played lights out and they brought the pressure all game long. If the offense was even slightly productive, there’s no doubt in my mind this is a shutout. That didn’t happen clearly, but I still believe this is one of if not the top defense in the NFL. It takes complimentary football to win games, and the Packers did the opposite of that today.

This loss sucked and I want to bury the tape as we rightfully should. However, the Packers have to watch back this game back no matter how bad it was. There is no better time to be humbled than early in the year rather than too late. If you had to take a poll before the season, I would’ve bet that most fans would say the Packers would be 2-1 by week three. Look at them now, they got to 2-1 in probably the weirdest combo we could’ve imagined.

Lotta ball game left folks, it's only week three. I can’t wait for Micah’s return to Dallas next week where the Packers return to where they won their last Super Bowl. The Cowboys got spanked by the Bears today too, which must mean their defense stinks. I feel a bounce back game coming for this Packers offense in primetime.
