They had no business winning this game, especially with how sluggish they looked coming out of the bye week. Things started strong with an opening-drive touchdown, but from there it felt like they never got the ball again. Kudos to the Bears offense who after ridding of the cancer that was Shane Waldron, looked very competent. The Bears controlled the clock and time of possession in this game, plus Caleb Williams looked good. He made the big plays when he needed too but, bad-coaching sealed the fate of the Bears’ fate once again....

After all the offseason talk about Caleb Williams and the big free-agent pickups, the Bears still suck, and nothing’s changed. Honestly, it’s kind of hilarious. I don’t think I’ve heard more preseason trash talk from Bears fans before this year. They acted like they had it all figured out, but guess what? They don’t. The Bears have fallen off a cliff after starting 4-2, losing their last three games to the Commanders, Cardinals, and Patriots. Their offensive line is a disaster, Caleb Williams holds the ball too long, and Matt Eberflus is, without a doubt, the worst coach in the NFL. The decisions this team keeps making are mind-blowing. Keeping Eberflus around for another season? It’s still baffling. But, hey, I’m glad he’s still there for this game. Can’t ask for a better opponent coming off a bye.   Evan Siegle, packers.com Well, that sucked. The Packers somehow managed to outgain the Detroit Lions and still lose this game. How was that made possible? Turnovers and dumb mistakes, stuff we’ve seen for multiple weeks now from the Packers. I know I’m not the first to say it, but I’ll repeat the message: the Packers don’t need to sound the alarm after this loss. This one was self-inflicted, plain and simple. The Packers are a good team and have proven that so far this season, considering they’re 6-3. This game was a big test, and the Packers weren’t quite ready yet. Thankfully, they get a second chance against the Lions this season to split the series. Hopefully, they’ll be healthier when that game comes around, too. Evan Siegle, packers.com It was a brutal week last weekend for the Packers, injury-wise, in their win against the Jaguars. Jordan Love went down with a groin injury, along with star Jaire Alexander, rookie standout Evan Williams, and starting center Josh Myers. Alexander, Williams, and Myers all missed practice this week. While I was cooking up this blog, Evan Williams was officially ruled out of the game on Sunday. Jordan Love is going to be given up until game time on Sunday to see if he’s good to play. Not the start you want in a matchup against a powerhouse squad like the Detroit Lions.
