Jordan Love Got PAID!

The details of Jordan Love’s new monster contract with the Packers are out and my oh my, that boy got paid!

After an exceptional finish to the second half of Love’s first season as the Packers' starting quarterback, he earned a new 4-year 220-million-dollar contract tying him as the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL next to Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence at 55 million per year. Love also gets a 75-million-dollar signing bonus on top of 155 million in full guaranteed money in this deal.

Many Packer fans were starting to get edgy and nervous about what looked like a stalemate in the negotiation between the front office and Love considering he wasn’t practicing with the team in front of the public. That’s a big part of this negotiation process, the player has every right to hold out to prevent an injury that could negatively impact a new deal. Even Matt LaFleur stood by his guy and stated Love stayed after practice every day and threw with the rest of the receiving core.

This deal truly shows the type of player the Packers have hit on again. Love is a special talent who even though started his year rough last season, kept his nose down and let his play do the talking for him. Love finished last season second in touchdown passes and seventh in passing yards among QBs in the NFL. On top of that, Love’s explosive performance in the NFC wild-card upset win against the Cowboys as the 7th seed in the NFC most definitely secured his spot as the franchise quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

The upcoming window for the Green Bay Packers is crucial for their chances of bringing the Lombardi back to Lambeau. With multiple young weapons surrounding Love, a great O-Line, and great play-calling, the Packers have a chance in the four-year window of this deal to make that dream turn into a reality of the Packers becoming world champions once again.

As for now, sit back and kick your feet up! We have plenty of time before week one rolls around and on September 6th when the Green Bay Packers head to Brazil to beat up on the Philadelphia Eagles!
