Packers vs Vikings Preview: Traveling to Viking Country

Image
Although the NFC North may be locked up as far as the division champion goes, there is still important football to take place between rivals this Sunday in Minneapolis. The Packers take on the Vikings in a game with critical NFC playoff seeding implications. Both teams currently sit at 7-8, a game out of the final two wild card spots held by the Seahawks and the Rams.             A win for the Packers wouldn’t necessarily guarantee them a playoff spot, but it would up their chances a lot, even more so with a loss from both teams holding a spot above them right now. The Packers and Vikings are both pretty beat up injury-wise, the Vikings’ defense especially. Their defense has played a critical role in helping them keep playoff hopes alive following the season-ending injury to starting QB Kirk Cousins. Wit

Victory Monday: A Win Is A Win

Did that game really need to be that stressful?             The Packers had the hold on this game for the majority of it as they should’ve, seeing that they are better in every aspect than the Panthers on paper. But if you would’ve told me this game’s final score would’ve been 33-30, I wouldn’t have believed you.             This game had stinker written all over it and exceeded those expectations dramatically. If you are a Packer fan, it’s hard not to be upset with how they handled this game, especially in the second half on defense. The defense has been struggling for multiple weeks now and it’s still insane watching the same mistakes happen every single week.             I understand the Packers won this game. When you make Bryce Young who’s been terrible all year long look incredible and have the announcers fawning over his play, I don't know how much more red the flags can get to fire the guy who's running the defense. I mean it’s a complete joke, on four

Packers vs Bucs Recap: Where Do We Go From Here?

Image
Well, that sucked.             Two weeks ago, the Packers were on top of the world after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in primetime after resurrecting their season after a slow start. And now, they’ve gone right back to where they were before they beat the Detroit Lions.             The Packers had plenty of opportunities to adjust all game long against the Bucs’ offense, but Joe Barry refused to change ANYTHING AT ALL! It’s so frustrating, I have no idea what this guy is thinking in the booth. If we are being honest, he shouldn’t be calling plays any longer for the green and gold, but as we all know, the Packers will not be firing anyone until the season has concluded.             His conservative play-calling has killed the defense this season. It’s created bad tendencies and killed the potential of this defense which is loaded with multiple first-round draft picks. Injuries have rattled this unit no doubt, but if you have eyeballs, you’ve clearly seen how bad the play

After an Ugly Loss to the Giants, the Packers Still Remain in the Playoff Picture

Image
Well, that was gross.             In a game they had no business winning, the Packers failed to hold off the Giants in a nasty Monday night football game. In all honesty, the Packers were due for a game like this. Although there’s been a huge turnover from the beginning of the season, Packer fans should remember that this is a young team still learning their way.             We saw that again with the offense without Christian Watson and Aaron Jones in this game. Play-calling was limited because of those injuries, and it showed. The offensive line struggled again as we saw earlier this season and that hurt Jordan Love’s ability to make plays in the pocket. Multiple penalties and mistakes happened to this group, but if it coincides with anything, they did manage to make the most of their last drive of the game. Jordan Love hit Malik Heath for his first career touchdown to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. People will forget that drive and rightfully so considering

Preview: The Packers Take on Tommy Cutlets and Giants in Primetime

Another week, another primetime game, and that is just the case for the Packers this week as they travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on Tommy Cutlets and the New York Giants. This game marks one of three road games the Packers will have in their remaining five games before finishing the season at home against the Bears.             I hope everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the win against the Chiefs, as they should’ve. Although it was the statement win of the season, the Packers still have work to do, and we aren’t locked into the playoffs just yet.             The Giants are not by any means a playoff team this season, but they still are not a team to be taken lightly. Their head coach Brian Daboll, coach of the year last season, is very solid and has kept his team together after the loss of starting quarterback Daniel Jones for the season. They have a few impactful players on both sides of the ball, Saquan Barkley being the focal point of their offense alongside their off

Victory Monday: The Packers Surprise Everyone and Beat the Chiefs in Primetime

WHAT. A. GAME.             The Packers did the unthinkable and took care of the Chiefs handily in a statement win in primetime. Yes, they took care of them handily, the Packers led from the start of this game to the very end and that is a fact. Of course, the main topic of this game is the officiating. It’s understandable as a Chiefs fan to be angry at how the end sequence of this game was called. But in reality, you shouldn’t put yourself in a position in which you need the refs to bail you out. The Packers played extremely well all game and both sides were subjected to bad officiating. The NFL has had a problem with refs for a while and if you ask any coach in the league, they will say that this has been a problem going on for longer than you may think. But the Packers won this game and that’s the bottom line. Jordan Love looked incredible and made multiple career-making throws in this career-making game. The last 3-4 weeks have all Packer fans feeling pretty confident

Primetime Preview: Packers vs. Chiefs

Image
In a matchup against the first team he ever started against, Jordan Love and the Packers are up for a challenge at home against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.             This game presents a major opportunity for the Packers as they are striving towards a possible playoff spot after an underwhelming start to the season. This game is by far the hardest on their remaining schedule and a win would elevate their playoff chances dramatically.             The injury report per usual is stacked with names, but there is some good news. AJ Dillon has no injury designation and is set to lead the backfield since Aaron Jones won’t be active in this game. No other offensive injuries look to be of concern for the Packers. On the defensive side of the ball, the Packers will be getting back Darnell Savage from the IR but will still be without Eric Stokes. There are a few players of concern, however. Jaire Alexander, De’Vondre Campbell, and Rudy Ford
