Packers Injury Report Review
Packers Injury Report Review
As we are heading
into the weekend, the Green Bay Packer’s final injury report has some significant
names on it that could be out against the Falcons on Sunday.
Four big names are all listed as questionable
for this Sunday: Aaron Jones, Christian Watson, David Bakhtiari, and Quay Walker.
Bakhtiari per usual did not practice
all week but, as stated in the previous blog the Packers need his reps in live
action and not the practice field. I’m confident Bakh will be good to go come Sunday.
Quay Walker was working his way back
after entering concussion protocol following the Packer’s first game against the
Bears. He was listed as “DNP” on Wednesday’s practice but was at practice listed
as limited participation on Thursday and Friday. As long as Walker is confident
and passes all the tests, I expect him to be on the field playing an essential role
in the defense’s task of stopping the Atlanta rushing attack.
The names that make me nervous on
this list are both Aaron Jones and Christian Watson. Watson didn’t practice
Wednesday and Thursday but was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. With
him practicing and Aaron Jones not practicing all week, it should be safe to
say Watson is more likely to hit the field Sunday than Aaron Jones is.
However, the counter-argument could
be Jones got the veteran pass this week that Bakhtiari has had to begin the
season in order to rest up so he’s good to go on Sunday.
It’s all speculation, but in my
opinion, three out of four of these big names should be on the field Sunday against
Atlanta. The Packers need all the help they can get as their record playing in
Atlanta has stunk in recent years.
