Packers Ground and Pound Their Way to Win Over Colts in Home Opener

Image
Well, Packers fans, we got the job done. In the home opener against the Colts, with Malik Willis under center, the Packers pulled out an ugly but satisfying win. There was plenty of skepticism surrounding Willis and whether he could handle the pressure, but he did just enough to get the W. Credit to the Packers' rushing attack for taking the heat off Willis, allowing him to stay within his comfort zone all game long. Let’s not forget about the offensive line. They were absolute monsters all game. The O-line gave Willis plenty of protection and opened up huge lanes for the running backs, allowing the ground game to run wild. Special shoutout to Josh Myers, who embodied the true meaning of “puke and rally.” Yes, you read that right. The dude literally threw up on the field, gathered himself, and kept playing like a beast. That’s the kind of gritty performance that defines Packers football. Green Bay Packers center Josh Myers with the "puke and rally" 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.co

The field conditions have been a problem in Brazil, with Packers and Eagles players slipping all over the place. Here are consecutive plays on a Packers drive where their players slipped. 🏈😵‍💫🇧🇷 #NFL pic.twitter.com/qVhfOsdP44 — Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) September 7, 2024 Packers and Eagles players trying to run on the field in Brazil pic.twitter.com/bbtEeesD94 — Shooter McGavin (@ShooterMcGavin_) September 7, 2024 Love’s injury?
