The Green Bay Packers Top 5 NEEDS This Offseason

Image
There’s been a lot of talk about what the Packers need personnel wise going into next season. The big question is what do they need most? Some would argue a pass rusher or two considering the team that just won the Super Bowl didn’t blitz once. Others would say a true number one receiver to make the clutch plays when the Packers need them. There’s plenty of valid excuses for each position that needs to be improved upon going into next season. As for Real Packer Fans Know, here are the top five NEEDS the Packers have going into next season from least to most important.              5. Linebacker                    Before you say it, yes, Edgerrin Cooper is a DAWG. He is a star in the making and the best draft pick the Packers made from last season. Other than Cooper, the Packers could use another run stopper across the middle of the field. ...

The Packers Can't Beat a Good Team. Now They're Playing with House Money in the Playoffs Again

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com No embedded tweets in this blog, folks. Just straight heat surrounding our beloved Green Bay Packers. Another hole dug too deep, and another comeback that started too late. Nothing new from the Packers after the loss to the Vikings on Sunday. I thought the Packers had a chance to steal this one, and they did give themselves a shot at the end of the game. But it didn’t matter. They never deserved to be in the game from the beginning. You can go on and on about the things this team needs to do to be better. The main thing is, they just make too many mistakes. Drops on offense. I mean, Jayden Reed has fallen off the face of the earth, the true definition of all or nothing. The Packers have no passing offense right now compared to the end of last season. Obviously, they are run-first thanks to Josh Jacobs, but there was absolutely no passing game until they ran tempo against the Vikings' prevent defense in the fourth quarter. Jordan Love had about 64 passin...

Why the Packers Are in the Perfect Spot to Upset the Detroit Lions

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com Call me a psycho, but I don’t care. The Green Bay Packers have a legit shot to take down the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. In fact, they’re in the perfect position to do so. First off, let’s address the Lions' defensive injuries. No one roots for them, but you can’t deny they boost the Packers’ chances. Since their last matchup, Detroit has placed eight players on injured reserve, and key names like D.J. Reader, Taylor Decker, and Carlton Davis are banged up. Honestly, shout out to the Bears for putting up a fight against the Lions on Thanksgiving. Still, Dan Campbell will have his team fired up. The Detroit Lions are looking to keep their winning streak alive in spite of 8 players being placed on injured reserve since their previous matchup with the #Packers . Can't say enough about how Dan Campbell continuously finds a way to win. pic.twitter.com/bpwiK71jR5 — Packerfan Total Access- Clayton (@packers_access) December 3, 2024 Enter the Packers...

Victory Monday Recap: What are the Green Bay Packers?

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com                Well, that was nuts. On the last play of the game, the Packers snatched victory from the jaws of defeat when Karl Brooks blocked Cairo Santos’ would-be game-winning field goal, crushing the hearts of Bears fans everywhere. THE FG IS BLOCKED FOR THE WIN! #GBvsCHI pic.twitter.com/zdxGIdJyZI — Green Bay Packers (@packers) November 17, 2024 Hand up, the Packers didn’t play great. They had no business winning this game, especially with how sluggish they looked coming out of the bye week. Things started strong with an opening-drive touchdown, but from there it felt like they never got the ball again. Kudos to the Bears offense who after ridding of the cancer that was Shane Waldron, looked very competent. The Bears controlled the clock and time of possession in this game, plus Caleb Williams looked good. He made the big plays when he needed too but, bad-coaching sealed the fate of the Bears’ fate once again....

It’s Packers vs. Bears Week, and It Doesn’t Feel the Same

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com, Jacob Funk, chicagobears.com I think it’s been pretty clear the Bears week doesn’t feel the same this season. After all the offseason talk about Caleb Williams and the big free-agent pickups, the Bears still suck, and nothing’s changed. Honestly, it’s kind of hilarious. I don’t think I’ve heard more preseason trash talk from Bears fans before this year. They acted like they had it all figured out, but guess what? They don’t. The Bears have fallen off a cliff after starting 4-2, losing their last three games to the Commanders, Cardinals, and Patriots. Their offensive line is a disaster, Caleb Williams holds the ball too long, and Matt Eberflus is, without a doubt, the worst coach in the NFL. The decisions this team keeps making are mind-blowing. Keeping Eberflus around for another season? It’s still baffling. But, hey, I’m glad he’s still there for this game. Can’t ask for a better opponent coming off a bye. The Bears do not have a player on the active roster w...

Looking Back, the Packers’ Loss to the Lions Was the Reality Check They Needed

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com Well, that sucked. The Packers somehow managed to outgain the Detroit Lions and still lose this game. How was that made possible? Turnovers and dumb mistakes, stuff we’ve seen for multiple weeks now from the Packers. I know I’m not the first to say it, but I’ll repeat the message: the Packers don’t need to sound the alarm after this loss. This one was self-inflicted, plain and simple. The Packers are a good team and have proven that so far this season, considering they’re 6-3. This game was a big test, and the Packers weren’t quite ready yet. Thankfully, they get a second chance against the Lions this season to split the series. Hopefully, they’ll be healthier when that game comes around, too. It was clear the Packers missed Jaire Alexander and Evan Williams on defense, as Keisean Nixon got ripped apart in this game. 🔻Jordan Love stupid pick 6 🔻Missed field goal 🔻3 botched snaps 🔻10 penalties 🔻6 drops Lost by 10... #Lions 24 #Packers 14 6-3, clean ...

All Eyes Are On Jordan Love for a Major Matchup Against the Detroit Lions

Image
Evan Siegle, packers.com It was a brutal week last weekend for the Packers, injury-wise, in their win against the Jaguars. Jordan Love went down with a groin injury, along with star Jaire Alexander, rookie standout Evan Williams, and starting center Josh Myers. Alexander, Williams, and Myers all missed practice this week. While I was cooking up this blog, Evan Williams was officially ruled out of the game on Sunday. Jordan Love is going to be given up until game time on Sunday to see if he’s good to play. Not the start you want in a matchup against a powerhouse squad like the Detroit Lions. Friday injury report for Lions-Packers Evan Williams is OUT, Josh Myers is DOUBTFUL while Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, Jaire Alexander & Corey Ballentine are all QUESTIONABLE. #Packers pic.twitter.com/L7K56KGQbb — Ellie French (@elliefrenchTV) November 1, 2024 #Packers HC Matt LaFleur says Jordan Love is questionable for Sunday. “We’ll give him up till game time to see how he’s feeling.” pic.twi...
