The Packers Can Put the Lions in the Rearview Mirror with a Win on Thanksgiving

Image
Photo Credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com The Packers have a chance to really solidify themselves in the race for the NFC North on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions. The Lions have been the kings of the North the past few seasons and in dominant fashion. With a win on Thursday, the Packers would improve to 3 and 0 in the NFC North while the Lions would fall to 1 and 3. The Packers win against the Vikings on Sunday was the first game in a while where they took control and never looked back. It may have been more of a conservative approach from the Packers offense considering Jordan Love’s injury and Josh Jacobs also not playing. The defense was in control the entire game as the Packers built their lead slowly. Love him or hate him, Matt LaFleur definitely had Thursday’s game against the Lions in mind. PACKERS PICK OFF J.J. Packers 27, Giants 20: What Would We Do Without Jordan Love?

Image
Photo Credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com It wasn’t pretty, but it didn’t need to be. The Packers needed to find a way to win against the Giants, and they did just that. The Packers ended their two-game losing streak on Sunday by beating the Giants 27 to 20 in a windy MetLife Stadium for their sixth win of the season. With this win, the Bears win, and the Lions loss on Sunday Night Football against the Eagles, they now sit as the current sixth seed in the NFC playoff picture. The Packers made multiple mistakes in this game, there’s no doubt about that, but they still found a way. Injuries were a huge factor too. Jordan Love left the game with a shoulder injury but returned. Quay Walker, Zach Tom, Matthew Golden, and Romeo Doubs also left the game with injuries. A win's a win, but.... The Packers Offense Needs to Show Signs of Life Against the Giants on Sunday

Image
Photo Credit: Madison Morris, packers.com The Green Bay Packers’ offense is broken. What needs to change? How do they reinvent themselves? Honestly, I have no idea. It’s clear the league has figured out Matt LaFleur’s offense, and it’s put his brain in a blender. Injuries are one thing, but there’s no simplicity or go-to plays for this unit. The only thing you could call a “go-to” is the inside zone run to Josh Jacobs. The fact that the Packers have run this play into oblivion and the Eagles knew it was coming on fourth down is actually insane. As football fans, we shouldn’t be able to predict what play is about to happen before it even happens. Yet that’s exactly what the Packers’ offense has become: predictable, stale, and paying for it now. It’s time to reinvent themselves. They can start by giving Jordan Love the keys. The Eagles game was ugly, but you can’t blame all the offense’s struggles on him. Injuries and below average offensive line play have plagued this team all season. S...

Packers vs Eagles Final Thoughts: It Starts Up Front

Image
Photo Credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com The theme for tonight’s Packers-Eagles matchup on Monday Night Football? It starts up front. The Packers’ offensive line is going to be the difference-maker in a game that will show whether this team is a contender or a pretender. It’s a week-to-week league, we all know that, but the Packers have a real chance to knock off the defending champs in primetime at Lambeau Field. Despite their recent struggles, they still have a better shot than you might think. For starters, the Packers’ defense has been solid all season, aside from their lone stinker against the Cowboys. They’ve held opponents to low scores and have often been put in tough positions because of the offense’s mistakes late in games. Their run defense, besides last week, has been much better than most expected coming into the year. The difference-maker in this one against the Eagles could be Devonte Wyatt. With Eagles starting center Cam Jurgens out, Wyatt and the rest of the Packers’ fr...

The Packers Offense Can Still Get The Job Done

Image
Photo Credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com Ope, you caught me guys. I am all the way back in to believing the Packers can beat the Eagles on Monday Night Football. Reason being? Let me give you a couple.   Firstly, the NFL is a week-to-week league, and that’s why it’s the best. The Packers are coming off a let-down spot after losing to the Panthers is the ugliest fashion possibly. On top of that, Tucker Kraft is out for the season and apparently dead to Romeo Doubs. Someone tell Doubs that Tucker Kraft is still alive pic.twitter.com/nzaFRKiY4T — Mike Ro 🧀 (@nuro_mike) November 4, 2025   This Packers team still leads their division despite their recent struggles. The negativity following the loss to the Panthers may once again be what this team needed. Matt LaFleur, although he’s been questionable to say the least this season. Has an opportunity to right the ship in against the Eagles, granted, he’s missing his best offensive weapon so far this season.   The Packers offense ...

Packers 13, Panthers 16: Matt LaFleur Failed to Prepare His Football Team (Again)

Image
Photo Credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com Nothing went right for the Packers on Sunday in their disgusting loss to the Panthers. On top of everything that happened, Tucker Kraft is officially out for the season after suffering a torn ACL. Absolutely brutal. Tests confirmed that Packers TE Tucker Kraft did in fact tear his ACL as feared, per source. pic.twitter.com/6lj5rScYg2 — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 3, 2025 From missed field goals to penalties and poor game management, this team was not prepared and didn’t deserve to win this game. This feels like the last straw. Obviously, the Packers aren’t dumb enough to fire a head coach in the middle of the season (that would be irresponsible). Still, Matt LaFleur needs to take a long look in the mirror after this one and rethink how he’s handling this football team. Year after year, we’ve seen the same problems under Matt LaFleur’s Packers: poor special teams, horrific game management, nonsensical play-calling, and endless penalties...

The Packers Need to Get Josh Jacobs Going Against the Panthers

Image
Photo credit: Evan Siegle, packers.com You’re probably all thinking, didn’t this guy just say we need to put the football in Jordan Love’s hands more this season? Touché. However, the Packers’ upcoming game against the Panthers needs to be a Josh Jacobs game. Jacobs is coming off a matchup against the Steelers where he averaged just 2.5 yards per carry on 13 attempts for 33 yards. On the year, Jacobs has an average of 3.6 yards per carry, which ranks near bottom of the league. An acceptable running play pic.twitter.com/duNAwnmJCU — Eric Hubbs (@BarstoolHubbs) October 27, 2025 So, what’s going on with the Packers rushing attack? Although Jacobs has been dealing with a calf injury lately, it really starts up front. You could argue that the offensive line isn’t as effective at run blocking as it was last season. It should be worth noting there have been a lot of moving pieces with this unit. Injuries to Zach Tom and Aaron Banks have forced players in and out of the lineup, and Elgto...
